Distinctly Christian
The fact that Newby Management is a “Christian company” has never been hidden under a rock. Through the years this practice has brought positive results and it has brought about negative experiences as well. If I was trying to be super spiritual here I would add a comment like “Ultimately regardless of the earthly experience, all that really matters is how God views our efforts.”
Truth be told it does matter to us how the world around us views us, but it doesn’t drive us. In today’s culture there is a myriad of opinions as to what a Christian or Christianity truly is. People have expectations of a company who says they are distinctly Christian, based on their own ideas of what a Christian company should look like. When one’s “ideas” are skewed, so goes the expectations.
For Newby Management it’s not as much about what’s on the outside as much as it is about who we are on the inside. Certainly, if our efforts on the inside are true and authentic, then it stands to reason the “outside” results would be impacted. My point is our first priority in being distinctly Christian is not proselytizing the communities in which we have been entrusted to manage and operate. But rather it is to create a culture within Newby Management that permeates Christian values. From there we do hope it extends into what we do as a company with a mission of “Sharing the love of Christ while providing exceptional property management services.”
For forty seven years this commitment has proven to bring tremendous value to our triangle of service and responsibility’ that is our company, our investors and the residents we serve. No matter which side of the triangle you belong, what a blessing to be a part of!
